| Tiivistelmä: | In the usually problematic, complex situation of interorganizational collaboration the need for managerial learning in the pursuit of collaborative (here as: coll.) advantage is high. Two particular characterizations of learning from the extant literature are characterized as 'transferable process learning' and 'substantive (goal oriented) learning'. A third mode, the principal focus and contribution of this paper is 'local collaborative process learning' which is focused on understandings of the particular coll. situation. Through research in four specific partnership development programmes, this paper develops an initial characterization of the notion and suggest additional layers of complexity implicitly involved in such learning. Inter-relationships btw. the three modes of learning in collaborations are also explored. |
