| Tiivistelmä: | The previous literature on team innovation has mainly concentrated on team members, but in this article the author considers connections across the team. A study of new product development (NPD) teams within a mature chemical company is presented. The aim is to examine the linkages between team members, their organizational stakeholders and team success. The results show how the success of NPD team depends on the ability of the team to actively manage their external stakeholders, to have clear measures for success, to have support from management, to receive reward for their efforts and to have talented team members. |
