| Tiivistelmä: | This article examines investments in transport infrastructure under a political economy. The data is from France over the period 1985-1992. The results of the study suggest that electoral concerns and influence activities were significant factors in the cross-regional allocation of transport infrastructure investments. In addition, the results show little evidence of the maximization of economic returns when it comes to infrastructure expenditure. |
