| Tiivistelmä: | This study discusses the capital adjustment process in Swedish manufacturing firms and relate the findings to standard models of capital adjustment. The authors argue the capital accumulation process to be highly volatile and non-persistent, the data reflects irreversibility rather than fix adjustment costs, and that aggregate investment is relatively unresponsive in deep recession as compared to normal times. |
