| Tiivistelmä: | This paper deals with a study of the gas emissions (hereafter as: ems.) responsible for climate change in Asturias, Spain. It is shown that the sectors most affected by the Kyoto Protocol in the Asturias region are iron and steel and electricity production. Inputoutput analysis is applied to determine the direct and indirect (here as: dir-and-indir.) ems. and the dir-and-indir. and induced ems. of the different production sectors, respectively. The results derived from the dir-and-indir. ems. analysis and the comparison with the former results enables to reach some conclusions and environmental policy implications. |
