Tiivistelmä:The article studies locus of control and ethical judgements in a cross-cultural setting extending the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB). The behaviour as well as hypothesized differences of US and Taiwanese businesspersons are compared in a self-administrated survay containing a sample of 698 persons. The results indicate bigger approval of bribe amongst Taiwanese parties whereas US counterparts are more likely to view it as unethical behaviour. The survey also found higher locus externality and influence of ingroups and superiors on behaviour amongst Taiwanese respondents. This obedience was not found within the American counterparts.
