| Tiivistelmä: | Tourism researchers have to shift between different roles when they are on the field. This article focuses on those roles. It claims that this role switching and flexibility has certain consequences when it comes to the position of the researcher. The article investigates some of the methodological issues that tourism researchers are confronted with when conducting ethnographic research. It uses a number of empirical examples from different researchers in the field. |
