| Tiivistelmä: | This study describes engaged couplesÂ’ decision-making processes when selecting a honeymoon destination. The purpose of the study is to expand the individual choice-sets model to a couple's choice-sets model. Data were collected through face-to-face interviews with 96 couples planning on going on their honeymoon within 3 months. The results showed that each member of a couple reduced conflicts by adding some of the other's alternatives into their own alternative set through discussion, and then built the final choice set. When couples did not agree on the destination until the final stage, the final destination was determined by the situation inhibitors and the degree of relative influence that one partner holds over the other. |
