Tiivistelmä:This article proposes a model of ethical distance. The study identifies four types of individual actors in corrupt organizations: bystanders, innocent participants, active rationalizers, and guilty perpetrators. The study examines how individuals move along the "continuum of destructiveness". In addition to the traditional explanations emphasizing the importance of socialization and institutional factors, this study suggests that the distance between act and its consequences is an essential factor.
