Tiivistelmä: | This paper examines the notional development of various approaches claiming to add value in knowledge (here as: knwg.) generation (here as: k-gen.) during the 20th century, aiming to identify what enhances productiveness in k-gen. An approach specifically developed to study un-deterministic complex systems is used. As a result, a list of salient features for scientific k-gen. is presented. In addition, various problem types are identified based on literature. These are then integrated to provide a proposed framework for scientific k-gen., which is trans-disciplinary and useful for scientific problem-solving. The implementation of this framework is illustrated through a case study. |
