Tiivistelmä:The editorial of the Journal of Travel and Tourism Marketing introduces the subject of the special issue: geography in tourism marketing. Geography has long been the most important variable in tourism marketing, and the issue provides new insights into the study of "space and place". According to the authors, the issue's main contribution to tourism studies can be defined as understanding how places are actually created, interpreted and contested, and how the differences between spaces shape tourist behavior.
