| Tiivistelmä: | This epistemological reconstruction classifies the approaches that could be discerned in papers submitted during the colloquium. Some authors try to interpret qualification within the system of labor and company policies. Others stuck to the notions of qualification based on knowledge, skill, and objective know-how. Another group of authors use a culture-bound concept of qualification. They see it developing in the process of socialization. This tendency pays more attention to biographical aspects. A fourth group based their definition upon union control of the labor market, emphasizing the role of official regulations and the social conflicts. |
