| Tiivistelmä: | The vital role of financial planning is highlighted. Its application in the construction industry is examined. The linear programming package used for the purposes of capital budgeting was found most effective in revealing the best arrangements for borrowing, financial planning, predictions of work level, tendering for contracts. Stages in financial forecasts: 1/ determining the period to be covered, 2/ quantifying the amount of each flow, 3/ aggregating cash flows, 4/ considerations for additional work, 5/ consideration of action needed. A numerical example is presented. |
