| Tiivistelmä: | Our work extends prior research on abandonment and replacement policies by analyzing the effects of both the Darby and the Fisher interest rate hypotheses. In most of the newly considered cases, the impact of increased inflation on the economic life is ambiguous. In the abandonment problem Fisher hypothesis implies larger inflation - longer economic life more often than does Darby hypothesis. The opposite is the case with the replacement problem. |
