Tiivistelmä:Described is a methodology for forecasting sales of an ethical drug prior to test market, and for adaptively adjusting these forecasts once early data are available. Prior to test market, perceptual data are used to estimate the parameters of a previously validated time series regression model. This model is used for early forecasts. Actual data when they become available are used to update the parameter estimates and in turn to provide new and hopefully more actual forecasts. The forecasting methodology is illustrated using physicians' perceptions on these drugs.
