| Tiivistelmä: | Discussed are dimensions and characteristics of control and actually practiced control mechanismus in German and U.S. companies. Data were collected from 40 large industrial companies. The findings indicate various differences regarding organizational and behavioral dimensions of control, which are interpreted as showing a "Behavioral Model" of control in German companies and a "System Model" of control in U.S. companies. Several situational factors are suggested to explain the observed differences. |
