| Tiivistelmä: | A definition of harassment is given. An increasing unwillingness of individuals to tolerate harassment is indicated. The Supreme Court's decision is cited. The problem confronting employers in such cases is defining the conditions that constitute psychological or emotional abuses in the workplace. On the other hand, the conditions available for employees to bring a hostile environment suit against an employer are listed. In a survey of 155 respondents 92 per cent believed sexual harassment was a serious problem and 70 per cent had actually experienced it. Organizational consequences are discussed. Management policies against sexual harassment are suggested. |
