Tiivistelmä:In difficult economic situation, survival and growth of an enterprise can depend on its ability to motivate its personnel towards achieving corporate objectives. Though not necessarily providing a panacea individualization of salaries can play a key role in such a strategy. Separation carried out between classification and wage level has permitted to reinforce the individualization of wages. In this sense, career management practices and training policies are directed more definitely toward the individual. Findings are based on a survey conducted in the Peugeot plant.
