Tiivistelmä:The failure of many high-growth companies can be turned to success. Three key forces to watch are given: expansion brings greater size, complexity and risk; change in the basis of competition affecting the core business may be caused by changes in competitor's actions, customers, new technologies and other factors, diversification into markets and products might bring the company outside its core business. Managers can use five principles to deal with the challenges confronting high-growth companies: to transfer power and ideals, to replace the founding product, to upgrade management, to reforge strategies and alliances, to resize and restructure.
