| Tiivistelmä: | The financial characteristics of small firms which achieved stock market quotation on the United Kingdom Unlisted Securities Market are attempted to identify by using principal component analysis and multivariate analysis of variance. The aim is to see whether the financial characteristics of small firms which achieve quotation on the Unlisted Securities Market are different from those which do not, and to assess whether the Unlisted Securities Market is providing access to the capital market for growth small firms. The findings indicate that the firms doing so have higher growth rates, use more debt financing and invest less in liquid assets than small firms which have not achieved quotation. |
