| Tiivistelmä: | Integrative pre-emption abhors conflict, particularly what the dominant firm perceives as vicious and unproductive competition. A dominant firm may stimulate competition because it can better handle the rigours of competition than its lesser rivals, particularly when it initiates and sustains the terms of the struggle. This is not ordinary competition or ordinary monopoly. Many of the classic indicators of monopoly may not be useful in assessing a firm's position in an industry. |
