| Tiivistelmä: | Following the legislative reform of 1986 and 1987 which made employee option and investment plans more attractive, employee participation in their company's capital has been steadily growing in France. The technical characteristics and advantages of these participation formulas for both the employees and the company are examined. The application of employee shareholder schemes in France are analyzed in terms of the objectives pursued by companies in adopting such a policy. Based on this analysis it is pointed out what its implications for corporate social and financial strategy are and it is questioned that the companies need to take affirmative action in this area to motivate, mobilize and train personnel. |
