Tiivistelmä: | The authors describe the evolution of a new approach which has transformed the effectiveness of traditional management skills training. Using a learner-centred modelling design, effectiveness can be raised from 10 % to 70 %. The basic elements of the new approach are the following: 1. Much more opportunities to practice. 2. Participants select the situations. 3. No jargon. 4. Learning is incremental. 5. Building on existing skill levels. 6. Free style programmes. 7. Personalised behavior. 8. No Action 9.
