| Tiivistelmä: | Joint economic lot size (JELS) modelling is one approach to minimizing the total inventory carrying and ordering costs of a vendor and his purchaser(s). To get rid of JELS's problems, an alternative approach is presented: the individually responsible and rational decision (IRRD) framework. To show IRRD's advantage over JELS, a more refined JELS model is built and both numerical and algebraic proofs are given. |
