| Tiivistelmä: | The article presents a critical evaluation of central bank preferences relying on econometric reaction functions. The reaction function of the central bank is Derived from an optimisation model too. In the empirical part the reaction function is applied to German and French data. It turns out that institutional characteristics of individual countries are very important for the specification of an all-around estimation function. |
