Tiivistelmä: | Over the next 15 years, human capital, once the most stationary factor in production, will cross national borders with greater ease. Driving the globalization of labour is a growing imbalance between the world's labour supply and demand. The share of developed world of the global workforce is shrinking, while in developing countries it is quickly expanding, and the quality of this workforce is also rising. South Korea, Taiwan, Poland and Hungary are particularly well positioned for such growth. Industrialized countries that keep barriers to immigration low will be able to tap world labour resources to sustain their economic growth. The USA and some European nations have the best chance of encouraging immigration. |
