| Tiivistelmä: | The analysis offered in the article is based on partial equilibrium models of a competitive market that represents three market structures: in the first two regions can trade a homogenous product under competitive condition; in the second trade is possible under competitive condition in two differentiated products; in the third trade is possible in a homogenous raw product and a homogenous processed product derived of the raw product. Algebraic formulas and procedure for analysing the effects of subsidies and countervailing duties are presented for the first model. Alternative types of countervailing duties are analysed and evaluated whether they are consistent with the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade. |
