| Tiivistelmä: | Six major changes in international politics and world economy are identified and explained: 1. Europe gets really continental dimensions; 2. the Soviet Union became a factor of uncertainty; 3. increased migration due to tensions in the world of politics and economy; 4. national interests are gaining ground in parallel with the growing democracy in certain smaller and weaker countries; 5. the instruments of global control are weakening; 6. European Communities become increasingly important. Arguments are presented that only "global thinking" offers a chance to meet the new challenges and include an ever-increasing number of areas and factors in the planning and decision-making process. |
