Tiivistelmä:This article is a summary of the report on the results of the research project carried out by the collaborators of the Institute of labour with the Faculty of law in Ljubljana for several users.Topics include related to evaluation of the security system for the elderly, significant differences between Slovenian and other legal systems in the area of rights and/or the acquirement of rights, complementary and additional voluntary insurance, and the like.Comparison of the pension insurance systems in the Republic of Slovenia and in the developed countries reveals that the developed countries put much more stress on the protection of the insured with low wages/income.In several developed countries, old age pensions are formed from three sources: national pension, obligatory professional insurance, and voluntary insurance.Voluntary insurance is only being begun in Slovenia.
