| Tiivistelmä: | Pudong New Area will raise the level of "import from abroad and linkage at home" and realise the shift from stressing quantity to stressing quality. By the year 2000, the number of foreign-funded enterprises with advanced technology will be doubled with the contribution rate to the new area's GDP rising from 35% to 50%. Besides, the goal that factor markets, financial institutions, large domestic and foreign corporations gather in Pudong will be reached to bring into play Pudong's gathering effect and radiating function. By the year 2000, the foreign investors, accumulated will be more than 7000 with the negotiated investment totalling US$ 25 billion. The accumulated projects of "import from abroad and linkage at home" will reach 8000. At that time, 15-20 development bases will be established. |
