| Tiivistelmä: | Concentrating bank regulation on bank capital ratios can be ineffective in controlling risk taking. A more direct mechanism of influencing bank risk-taking incentives in which the FDIC insurance premium scheme incorporates incentive features of top management compensation, is proposed. |
