| Tiivistelmä: | Many inventory systems are controlled by an (s,S) socking policy, which is characterized by a reorder point, s, and order-up-to level S. A model and solution algorithm is presented for the computation of (s, S) values which minimize expected costs subject to a service-level constraint. The environments of interest are characterized by replenishment lead times, multiple, prioritized demand classes, and lost sales of excess demand. Results of an extensive numerical test are evaluated. |
