| Tiivistelmä: | The purpose of this paper is to find whether exchange rate cooperation among Middle-Eastern countries is desirable and feasible, and who might be the candidates for such a scheme. Writing about Middle-Eastern economic integration always risks being outpaced by events, but at a time of crisis in the peace process it also seems detached of reality. And yet, academic research cannot afford chasing after events. Confining the writing to current events will leave intriguing issues unexplored. |
