| Tiivistelmä: | This paper thinks that money substitutes would exert serious influence on a country's macro economic stability and the effect of its economic policy, weaken the government's tax base, induce outflow of capital. As far as China is concerned, it would also slow down or even discontinue the process of making the RMB freely convertible. Analyzing the basic train of thought on formulating China's anti-money substitute policy, it points out that we can control money substitutes so long as we raise the actual rate of return on domestic financial assets, increase the public's confidence in the RMB and keep the consistency and creditability of macro economic policy. |
