| Tiivistelmä: | Given the consequences of exchange rate fluctuations on the profitability of foreign operations, any effort to make forecasts in this domain is inherently risky. Faced with this risk, large French companies have put off implementing systematic procedures that would shield them from unforeseen losses, though nowadays the exchange rate factor is rather often taken into consideration in management decisions, reactions to fluctuation generally remain haphazard and no respective global strategy has yet been developed. |
