| Tiivistelmä: | The results of a study of computer use by professional petroleum landmen are reported. These professionals offer services that include the assessment of mineral rights, negotiation for such rights, and managing the mineral rights and obligations. While it was found that a majority of professional landmen use computers, it does not appear that computer technology has fully pe.etr`ted this information-intensive business. There would seem to be ample opportunity for expansion in the area of software and services that address the specific needs of this profession. |
