| Tiivistelmä: | For some time now Chinese economists have been talking with increasing self-confidence about the "success" of the economic reforms which have been intensified over the past two years, in particular comparing themselves favourably with other "transformation countries". The Asian Development Bank takes the view that China has become the growth motor for the entire Asian-Pacific Region. In 1993 the People's Republic managed again to accelerate GDP growth - by half a percentage point to 13.5% in real terms. |
