Tiivistelmä:There has been a major increase in the number of small U.S. companies declairing themselves as "Christian". These companies seek to combine economic success, hard work and biblical values. However, no empirical research has been conducted to define whether the religious values have a major effect on company performance. This paper tries to find out if there are differences in long-term performance between "Christian" businesses and their secular counterparts. The results indicate that the companies differ in four performance variables, and the paper offers some explanations and implications.
