| Tiivistelmä: | Macroeconometrics is becoming more global in four main ways: much more of the modeling activity and innovation is taking place outside the U.S; there is more use of multicountry or global models; there are increasing attempts to model the effects of globalization on the structure of the national and international economies; and there is increasing use of comparative data from many countries to help estimate parameters that are difficult to identify on the basis of evidence from a single national economy. These developments are dealt with in this paper. |
