| Tiivistelmä: | In 1994, foreign direct investment began to enter a mature period. In utilizing foreign investment, greater importance was attached to its quality and scale in stead of simply seeking increase in quantity. The foreign investment expanded comprehensively and in depth to the tertiary industry and the construction of infrastructure. The import and export trade was basically in the state of sound development. In 1994, the export volume of industrial manufactured goods amounted to USD 101.33 billion, up 34.9% over last year. The general export volume reached USD 61.56 billion, up 42.50% over last year. |
