Tiivistelmä: | Social policy, social security and social insurance are a reflection of the standpoints and principles established and accepted by the majority of citizens , political parties and representatives of the civil society. According to these principles, the system of social security in Slovenia is predominantly Bismarckian with some specific elements.Similar to other countries, also in Slovenia social security and social insurancc have become an important economic, public finance and expectedly also social and political problem.Solutions to the newly emerged situation and problems are not yet known. It is however, generally accepted that the whole social security system calls for a thorough reform.Social security will have to restrict those rights financed by contributions. In order to stimulate competitiveness, labour costs will have to be reduced.High labour costs are predominantly a consequence of contributions. |
