| Tiivistelmä: | If the basis for innovation is cross-fertilization of ideas, then the knowledge acquired is an essential first step in the task of defining corporate governance in a manner which may assist and encourage future harmonisation. The purpose of this paper is therefore to look at the detailed working of the Aufsichtsrat in order to understand how it operates in Germany, to see some of the problems which exist in relation to the system in place there and to consider its effectiveness in the control of directors and co-determination. |
