Judged by economic fundamentals alone, Croatia would be a leading candidate for early membership of the EU. It is the fourth richest country in Central Europe, ranked by GDP per capita, and has the seventh largest economy overall. Like their Visegrad counterparts, Croatioan companies have switched their trade to the EU. |
