| Tiivistelmä: | Looking at the trends of electricity and fuel consumption in industry, it is often desirable to find out how much of the change in energy consumption is due to changes in the main factors of influence, that is production quantity, production structure and specific consumption. A new method is introduced to determine the role of these factors in an unambiguous manner. For illustration, a very simple numerical example is given, together with a comparison to the results obtained by the method which has been commonly used. |
