| Tiivistelmä: | In the United States some utilities have found that the promotion of energy conservation among their customers make for good business. Indeed one of the companies is now offering its customers a fixed return on every kilowatt-hour saved. The question is how it is fared in this respect in the United Kingdom? In fact the reply is negative and unless there is a remarkable change it is most unlikely that the privatized electricity supply and distribution set of companies as envisaged by the government will have the same approach to the market as their brethren in the United States. It is assumed that injecting more energy into a system transforms deprivation into comfortable well-being. |
