| Tiivistelmä: | Weber's construct of bureaucracy and Lindblom's incrementalism is reviewed. The antithetical nature of creativity and close regulations is described. The role of reward system in creating a viable entrepreneurial attitude is examined. The Not Invented Here bias in the research and development world is discussed. The commitment of top management for entrepreneurship is shown as a necessary condition to overcome organizational rigidities. Some rules and procedures are necessary to maintain order in an organization, but when they become the end rather then the means, innovation and achievement are the first victims. |
