| Tiivistelmä: | Information systems design and implementation transcends into the design of work environments and total organizational systems and social subsystems. Theoretical support is presented for the impact of information systems design on role conflict and role ambiguity experienced by users of information systems. The results provide evidence to support the relevance of role conflict and role ambiguity in the users' evaluation of information systems. The systems staff and analysts can no longer afford to concentrate only on the technical aspects of their jobs and ignore the impact their actions and decisions have on the social subsystem of the organization. |
