| Tiivistelmä: | The amount of Deutschmark bonds outstanding at the end of 1994 was DM2, 665 billion. This puts the German bond market third in the world, and first in Europe. The domestic bond market can be classified into public authority bonds, bank bonds and corporate bonds - but the corporate bond segment is nearly non-existent. The Deutschmark bond market experienced a phase of impressive growth between 1989-94. Deutschmark bonds are generally of high quality. Corporate issuers are almost absent from the market. |
