Michael Armstrong discusses the pros and cons of team pay in the light of recent IPD research. Teamwork matters in the new delayered organisations. The significant part that teamwork plays in achieving organisational success has directed attention towards how employee reward systems can contribute to team effectiveness. The focus is now shifting away from individual performance-related pay.
