| Tiivistelmä: | A significant portion of quality costs is the internal failure cost associated with manufacturing scrap. This study describes one company's successful manufacturing scrap reduction process. The overall process is described with key elements being top management leadership, measurement, participation through quality improvement teams, and communication. The results were achieved as planned, with positive contributions to the overall goal made within one month after implementing the initiative. |
